Let's start with a sleepy Sequoia, the firstborn. Why so sleepy? Well, Sequoia has this bad habit of staying up all night in the garden.

Whee, Skabadoo time! It's been a while, but nothing exciting happened last time so I'm not going to bother with a recap. (Well, Julian did almost burn himself to death, but in my game that's a pretty normal occurance and can hardly be called exciting anymore...)
Anyway, I will do a recap of the dramatis personae, because it's really easy to forget other people's Sims, I know. This one is Julian. If this were a legacy, I'd call him my founder, but it's not actually a legacy so he's just Julian, I guess.
He's a celebrity chef, or at least very close to becoming one at this point. I can't remember exactly. But his cooking points are maxed, so he does all the cooking at home. I quite enjoy the variety of menu he brings. Spaghetti and hamburgers can get dull pretty quickly.
So I loaded up my game today and realized I have played way far ahead...and I probably should cut back a bit on playing until I get more stuff posted. So here's yet another Skabadoo update for y'all! (Feel free to hit me for spamming too much...)
Last time, Julian and Rose got married, had a baby named Sequoia, moved out of the apartment and into a proper house. Sequoia grew up and I took way too many pictures of that adorable toddler, but I still have even more, so here we go!
By the way, before we get started, I'm still trying to figure out about how many pictures I post per update, trying to find the happy medium between too long and too short. So far it's been about 100-150 per update, but that's obviously based on only two updates so far, and now this one. Because this is just one family, I'm not sorting pictures by round or anything. I honestly don't have any preferences myself, and it really doesn't matter to me if I post more at a time or less, so if you have any feedback on that, I'm happy to hear it! :)
Okay, now being a college graduate, and with me using the no20handouts mod, Julian doesn't have a lot of money. He did get on the Dean's List a few times, however, so he's got enough to move in to an apartment, provided he gets a job right away. And this being The Sims, he doesn't have to worry about unemployment rates, job experience, etc. Lucky guy...
Anyway, the apartment is the Attractive Abode that came with Ikea Stuff and hides out in the lot bin. It's actually not a bad residential lot as-is, but even so, I completely gutted it to make it into an apartment. :)

All right, so a bit of backstory: For those that follow me on tumblr, you know that I play a BaCC called Pine Lake. But I needed a little break from it (especially when faced with two families that I didn't know what to do with) and I didn't have large chunks of free time, so I wanted to play something I could load up quickly and just play for fun. Plus I wanted to try out some new skin and eye defaults, just for a change. :) On top of that, I put in some default face templates some years ago when I got bored of seeing the same Maxis faces all the time, but I recently started missing the Maxis, so I wanted to play around with them some too.
Enter Julian Skabadoo:
( I promise there are a lot more pictures and a lot fewer words under the cut.Collapse )
( More pictures ahoy!Collapse )
Anyway, empty houses are not that exciting, so I lumped them all (minus the two I'd already posted on tumblr) together in one big post in no particular order for anyone who is interested. They're very simple, as I wanted to keep them affordable for new families, hence the many empty rooms, but I think they look a lot better now, on the exterior at least. I'm just happy I don't cringe every time I see the neighbourhood screen now. ;)
